Rahway Station Rehabilitation Design

As part of the design team for the rehabilitation of this important Northeast Corridor station, Interactive Elements provided rail operations and community outreach expertise. The firm's activities included a survey of present conditions; planning and coordination of track outages with Amtrak, NJ Transit, and Conrail; coordination of timetable changes to accommodate construction schedules; integration of railroad operations into design planning; interfacing with affected communities, governmental agencies, and local officials; and review of designs to assure security of passengers, employees, and revenue.  [242]
