Station Rehabilitation Design Support
In response to the issuance, by New York City Transit, of a series of task order contracts for planning support for miscellaneous capital projects, IEI performed various activities at several locations throughout the nation's largest subway system. At the West 4th Street Station in Manhattan, IEI participated in an analysis to determine the optimum configuration for an ADA upgrade to the station. An ADA assessment was also performed at the closed landmark City Hall Station, in conjunction with its possible conversion to Transit Museum annex. In the Bronx, IEI performed field surveys and collected data to develop scope and options for the structural rehabilitation of the White Plains Road Line, a heavily used elevated rapid transit line. IEI was a subcontractor to EarthTech (now AECOM) for this work.
