Standard for Measuring Transit Maintenance Capacity
As part of its responsibilities as an FTA PMO Consultant, IEI developed TIRAMISU (Time to Inspect, Repair, And Maintain, In Situ), a simple method for estimating the correctness of the size of a Transit Vehicle Maintenance Facility from its design and the agency's Rail Vehicle Maintenance Plan. The method was successfully tested on an existing facility at Hudson Bergen Light Rail Transit (the nation's first Design-Build-Operate-Maintain transit project).
